Benefits of a commercial are:

• Cheap road tax (€333)
• Low VRT rate

2 Seat Commercials:

Most hatchback, estate cars and SUV’s can be converted to a 2 seat commercial vehicle. This results in a low VRT rate and VAT is reclaimable so they become a much more affordable car to buy. Also the road tax will be reduced to €333 instead of €2350 per year in some cases.
